This is quite literally mind boggling! As long as they don't fall for the "Indigo Prophecy Syndrome", it could become my next favorite game.

I thought you meant heavy rain as in nature. I was going to agree with you on that, but I was mistaken.
It does indeed change a few things in this type of genre, although I cannot seem to exactly place it any specific genre. Looks like an interactive movie, but is actually a game, with pre-rendered film seamlessly inserted. Very interesting indeed.
