Heavy Rain Uncensored Everywhere

Good news, people who like seeing naked breasts and violence in their games (but who live in censorship-happy countries)! Heavy Rain [http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Rain-Playstation-3/dp/B002CZ38KA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1279054514&sr=1-1] will be completely uncensored no matter which version of the game you're getting.

There's no denying that Quantic Dream's Indigo Prophecy [http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Rain-Playstation-3/dp/B002CZ38KA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1279054514&sr=1-1] (aka Fahrenheit).

No worries on that end! In the game's box art [http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/01/introducing-the-official-heavy-rain-box-art/], Associate Product Manager Cristian Cardona revealed that the game had received a "M" rating (no surprise there) for "Blood, Intense Violence, Nudity, Sexual Content, Strong Language and Use of Drugs."

Cardona continued that M rating aside, "for those of you who have asked, the content is exactly the same as what's being released in all our territories, so you'll get to enjoy it exactly as Quantic Dream intended."

So there you have it, folks. The violence won't be taken out of the Aussie version, the sex won't be taken out of the NA version, and the drug use won't be taken out of the Japanese version. I would have included the Euros in there but I don't know what Europeans are afraid of. Whoops.

Europe is afraid of everything.

I predict this decision generating a MW2-esque wave of publicity...especially the aforementioned "nightclub owner" scene.

I can hear Britain's outspoken anti-video games moron person, Keith Vaz, now.

Future wars is the only thing I can think off, but we're smart enough to know that games won't lead to that.

Violence is good. Nudity is meh. I could live without it.

Thank god for violence, though!

Everywhere?

Including Australia?

I can't wait for Yahtzee to do this one then
its a 'game' that is trying to be an interactive movie. and dont forget its from the same studio as Indigo prohecy/farenheight which Yahtzee regularly pans as machinima where you press buttonsand accuses games of Indigo prohecy sydrome. He will love taking this one to pieces

You're either American and have no idea how bad it is in America or you're British and you have no idea how bad it is in America.

EUROPE FEARS NOTHING

Pretty cool

I can't play this, though. I mean, I'd be breaking the 18+ rule anyway (I own Fallout 3, so that's not a problem), but I got nervous when the de-dressing scene in AC2 came about, because I didn't want my parents walking past and getting the wrong message.

With this, the wrong message is already there!

We fear nothing. MUAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAAAAA!!!

*ehem*

OT, good to see that censorship didn't happen on this one, its always a shame when countries become paranoid about their little children seeing a little bit of skin and gore when its pretty much impossible to hide it from them in this day and age anyways.

Maybe all the delays with the Dragon Age DLC are b/c Bioware saw this and decided to go full-speed ahead with the nudity/sex in their own franchise?

Bioware already did sex scenes in 2007 with Mass Effect. They were not breaking new grounds with Dragon Age. And they doing it again most likely with ME2.

Hehe, our censors have only ever banned one game: Manhunt 2. The ban was later lifted.

Go Ireland! Apparently, censorship (or the lack thereof) is the one area our government doesn't suck at!
