Europe is afraid of everything.

I predict this decision generating a MW2-esque wave of publicity...especially the aforementioned "nightclub owner" scene.

I can hear Britain's outspoken anti-video games moron person, Keith Vaz, now.
You're either American and have no idea how bad it is in America or you're British and you have no idea how bad it is in America.
The latter. But as far as I know, an American senator has never raised the issue of a particular video game's release in the House of...whatever the hell America calls it.
Unlike Britain, where we nearly got MW2 banned.

Woooooo! Uncensored nudity and violence! Oh, wait, I don't have a PS3...

[small]Damn exclusitivity, I hate games that are exclusive to one thing...[/small]

Yeah, I'm irate about exclusive titles anyway, more so since my Xbox got stolen over Christmas. Ah well, since I won't be replacing it until I get a part time job, I can save up for a PS3 at the same time. It's the only way I'll get to play this, apparently, and I absolutely hate the idea of buying a console for a single game (since nothing else that's exclusive on PS3 actually interests me...).

America constantly has pussy senators yelling about video games, as well as half their news channels.

We had one guy who was laughed out of the House of *whatever it was* when he tried to raise it as an issue. In fact the response was about how we desperately need to support the industry.

On a side note, SPLINTER CELL: CONVICTION HAS BEEN FUCKING DELAYED AGAIN!!!! ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Everywhere?

Including Australia?

I can't wait for Yahtzee to do this one then
its a 'game' that is trying to be an interactive movie. and dont forget its from the same studio as Indigo prohecy/farenheight which Yahtzee regularly pans as machinima where you press buttonsand accuses games of Indigo prohecy sydrome. He will love taking this one to pieces
Indigo prophecy syndrome doesn't have anything to do with quitime events or machinima or what-have-you. It's when the game's plot goes haywire in the third act by suddenly involving ancient conspiracies, super saiyans and people made of energy, like Fahrenheit/Indigo Propehcy did.

I'm looking forward to this game. I don't have a PS3 but if I ever get one the game is a must buy.

Also, Europeans are only afraid of Demon's Souls apparently.

I thought Germany was a censorship-happy country...I'm maybe wrong.
It's, think. Oh, and geramany bans violent games mostly.

Punch, kick, bite, tear, strangle, pummel, stab, slash, hack, beat, shoot, immolate, blow up or otherwise kill another human being (alien, monster, whatever) in the most gruesome and violent ways imaginable? No problem.

Show a pair of naked breasts? That's Obscene.

North America is so bloody backwards it both depresses and angers me at the same time.

(Edit) Now once the game is released, how quickly do you think "Concerned parents", and by that I mean "Fucking busybodies with nothing better to do than raise a stink over something THEY don't like and therefore nobody else should be able to enjoy, all 'for the children'"
decide that this game is too "sexual" for their precious little snowflakes, despite the scene in question being intergral to the plot and having nothing to do with sex other than manipulating another, weak-willed character.

But try to explain that to an outraged soccer mom & her church group and no matter how strong your argument is, it will fall on deaf ears. Logic just doesn't mean anything to some people. Especially Americans. (But not all of them.)

Just wait, it'll happen. I really hope it DOESN'T but let's be realisitic here...

One word. Swastika.

Not only Germany - entire Europe has a pretty strong beef with Nazi ideology, for reasons that should be obvious. But i don't think there will be a character in this game spouting racism and quotes from Mein Kampf or something. That would be too much overall.

This bodes well for the perception of gaming culture. The triumph isn't intrinsic to having nudity and violence in and of itself, but it shows that games are now considered serious venues
of entertainment.

Fahrenheit was a brilliant concept marred by a few strikingly critical flaws. As this is looking to be Fahrenheit 1.5 with a good plot hotfix, color me excited. Now I just need to buy a PSTripple
