Not only is this the heaviest song I can think of, I've also found a hilarious video of Spongebob singing it!

Well... I think that The Project Hate MCMXCIX are kind of heavy. Not heavy as in brutal; heavy as in ominous and dark. They're fairly brutal in some parts, though.

Sugar by System of a Down is one of the heaviest songs ever made.

You don't always have to look into the heavier genres to find the heaviest music. :D

Him being a convicted murderer and church arsonist only adds to his batshit-insane level.

Good music though.
And just look how happy and sane he looks.Never judge a book by its cover.

I love this thread.

Alright, heaviest songs. I do have music that's a lot heavier than this, but it's power noise music, it's basically noise.

And, assuming you actually want to hear any of the power noise stuff.

...That last song scares the crap out of me. Mommy!!

I'm so going to have to look at this thread when It's not midnight and everyones in bed, but I'll add my three songs. Not really that heavy, or that screamo, but they are the most in my library... at the moment.

Amity Affliction - Stairway to Hell
Bury Tomorrow - These woods aren't safe for us
Bullet for my Valentine - Ashes of the Innocent

Uh. Pretty much all by Skinny Puppy would count, and a lot of V.A.C. and Wumspcut., but the heaviest?

Torn between

And
i dunno i would say wumpscut's song "krieg" (or war for us ignorant americans) is a bit heavier than either of those offerings. same goes with the vnv remix of their song "Totmacher"
but then that's my opinion for industrial songs at least, and there's more than a few good examples of good "heavy" songs by frontline assembly, nitzer ebb, front 242, combichrist, cesium 137, and even bands local to me, like carfax abbey, tapping the vein, torsion, etc.

This might not be the heaviest I have listened to, but it is sure as hell the most extreme I have heard lately.

I really liked this. I love noisy music, although I didn't like that power noise one.

Hahahaha... Carnifex? Carnifex? Oh man, that band is the butt of many jokes where I come from.

The Emmure one is for those who enjoy their metal with a side of cheese. Actually, all of them are.

I don't listen to metal, so here's the heaviest stuff I have in my own library. If you're into alternative and whatnot, then I defy anyone to find something more heavy and awesome than this:

Best to start each of the videos just as the previous one ends, for the best playback...

EDIT: Holy on a sandwich with mayonnaise, embedding is disabled on all three videos. Probably the greatest collection of Youtube videos to ever go together, and we can't see them. Ah well, just click on the links and listen to them. Believe me, your minds will be blown... ;D
