I'm playing Fire Emblem: Awakening, and I want to give my avatar a fanon surname. I was thinking of using the Hebrew verb מַנְהִיג, מַנְהִיגָה (pronounced mahn-HEEG), seeing as though it means leader (seeing as though the avatar is one of the main leaders of the Shepards by default, being their head tactician). For anyone versed in Hebrew, is it okay to use it as a surname? If so, what would be a good english romantization?

TL;DR I want my Fire Emblem Avatar's unofficial surname to be מַנְהִיג, מַנְהִיגָה (pronounced mahn-HEEG), is it okay to use as a surname? (and what would be a good way to write it in english lettering?)

P.S. If anyone suggests this should really be in the off-topic boards (seeing as though the main meat of the question has to do with my chosen avatar surname), I apologize (I thought about that, but I chose to put it in the gaming discussion board because of the source of the fanon).

I'd recommend changing your thread title to help more people who have the necessary knowledge see it. I cannot say with any certainty, but I do not think Hebrew is likely to be a particularly common language amongst our users. Mentioning in the title that you require somebody who speaks it will make it easier to find somebody who does.

In case I have not made it obvious I am unable to help, sorry.

Well, I can't help you in knowing if it is alright to use a surname in Hebrew, but it's a neat idea. My only suggestion would be to do a Google search, there must be some info about the subject posted somewhere on the internet. I'm actually playing Fire Emblem Awakening for the first time,(it's amazing by the way! :D) and I just used my name because I could not think of anything better.

Actually, I'm more asking if it's a word you can legitimately use as a surname (like someone being called Jack Call or something)
