What the hell happened to heihachi? D= Not that it's bad it just looks.. different. This new mysterious lady doesn't seem all that interesting though.
Tekken Tag is sort of a dream match style game where canon is totally ignored in place of fun match ups. There's rumours floating around that this new young Hei is actually Heihachi if he had the devil gene that Kaz and Jin have.
That could be interesting, I always wondered why Heihaci didn't inherit the devil gene, his father has it, his son (well one of them I'm not sure about Lars) has it and his grandson has it, it seems odd that he doesn't.

So, the question is: Do I jump into a new Tekken game? It would be nice to have for when friends come over.

It's odd to see Hehachi as a young man. When I think of him, I think old, bald, and tremendous ass kicker. Hopefully, he is still a tremendous ass kicker!

Some traits are known to skip generations. I have no idea how it works in the game's story, but if it were a genetic trait, he could easily lack the devil gene while passing it on to others.

Seeing as how T6 and SC4 both have online play, I'd imagine TTT2 will as well. :) Namco's online may not be the best, but they definitely do support it.

Sweet! Could this mean I can get my Asuka/Jun tag team?!
Well, Jun did come back to life for the first TTT so I'd be quite surprised if she didn't come back for this one. Not sure if her style will be evolved at all but, then again, the first Tag wasn't exactly shy about having fairly limited characters like P-Jack playing in the same space as their more advanced versions.

*goes back to imagining the double-team aikijutsu beatdowns*

Poor Heihaci, he inherited his dads strange hair but not his genetic superpowers.

I think it is nice to see Heihaci young again, it reminds me of how he was in Tekken and Tekken 2 (the first game of the series I played)

I'm so hyped for this!

For those interested, here's a demonstration of the 'tag' mechanic:

One thing thats always bothered me about Tekken: While i respect the fact that they decided not to have every character speak english to reflect different cultures....how the fuck do all the characters understand each-other? 0o No seriously, how are they all able to understand the languages spoken?

OT: Well, in any case, while they seem to be working together in the trailer...Kazuya and Heihachi still seem to hate one anothers guts. All i gotta say is, i hate to see how the Mishima's spend christmas/thanks giving with each-other...if at all xD

Hyped for this, mainly because I try and fit the original Tekken Tag into my gaming schedule somewhere. In the trailer however, does the fighting seem slower than Tekken 6 or is it just me?
