Helicopter flight sim?

After stumbling across this article, I want to see how hard it really is. Almost all games make them arcade-like and virtually uncrashable. Battlefield 2's helis are the least stable I've seen so far, but even those are extremely easy to handle.

Any suggestions?

there are normally heli's on Flight Simulators.
I know because I jumped one up to 5000 feet. with the engine turned off.
It plummeted all the way to the ground before we could get it started...

Exactly. I believe the Microsoft Flight Simulator series have quite a couple of them.

As far as combat helicopter simulations go, I can definitely recommend Apache Longbow. Although it was released in 1995 I think it's one of the best helicopter sims I've ever played, and it features an amazing soundtrack. Then there's of course Jane's Apache Longbow 2 from the appraised Jane's series. And Apache Longbow Assault, but that's about it for as far as I know.
