Fifteen by your profile. Tough age =/ Anyways.

Do you run in the same social circles? Do you have any common interests? Have you hung out with her (and other people, presumably) outside of school before? Having friends in common can be a great help if they're willing to play matchmaker for you.

As for picking up women/girls (don't call them chicks, generally they find it derogatory), there is no set in stone answer. Be nice, if you get laughed at, laugh with them. Nothing, I've found, turns a girl off more than a guy who can't take a joke. Keep your emotions in check and for gods sake be PATIENT.

Um, I hate to be the one to tell you: Wrong place dude. Internet is a bad source for relationship advice.
But I'll help you out.

If you're too afraid to talk to her, it's a crush, it will never work.
If you're afraid but are able to pump yourself up to be manly enough to talk to her, it's an infatuation, and you should go for it.

I was always under the impression a crush and an infatuation were the same thing, in my vocab anyway. What's the difference? ;o

Here's a bit of advice: Don't. High school relationships, especially when you are fifteen, are pointless, frivolous, and doomed to failure within weeks. If you really really want to go out with this girl, then just hang out with her. Going to a movie or something with a bunch of people? Invite her. Group events really help break the ice because you aren't on the spot. You can get to know her, what she likes to do, etc. The thing about this is you have to be careful you don't fall into the Friend category and out of the Potential category, but don't just walk up and ask her out.

Also, what Amnestic said about laughing and stuff like that.

me also being 15 and being the intelligent smartass that I am, i can help you out.

1.DONT call her a chick EVER EVER
2.If you can't work up the courage to ask her out, then either you're pathetic or she's not worth it.
3.When you do ask her out, take her to see a movie that you have prior knowledge will be bad but she doesn't know it. Then, when it's over, you can exclaim you're sorry and she will feel more affectionate towards you for being "innocent" (she will then, however, hate the movie forever, but who cares?)
4.Then, to "apologize" to the movie being "unexpectably bad", buy her a giant stuffed animal (unless she seems particularly like the kind of girl that HATES them, in that case get her a cheap necklace or a bracelet). If you opt for the giant stuffed animal, try and get a puppy. If you cant, any fuzzy "cute" one will work.
5.After that she will almost guaranteed like you (and you will have spent $20). From then on, try to act manly but not to the point of being a jerk or being stupid around her, and try to act innocent whenever things don't go as either of you planned. I personally have abandoned girls though because i realized that for now, being only 15, i personally think i am too young to be worried about this sort of thing right now and that they would just distract me from my academic career. GL, HF, and USE PROTECTION (JK, no sex till marriage ^^)

So true

If you have nobody to talk about stuff like this but an internet problem then a girl is the least of your problems. Also, never start a relationship out of desperation, it is doomed to fail.

He could end up being his own grandfather.
Explain
Futurama reference, in which Fry is his own grandfather without it creating a time paradox which destroys the universe.

1 in a million chances of that happening

Yes, don't call us chicks, babes, giant pair of floating breats or anything along those lines!

First of all, make friends with her, it's the first floor. Then just build up from there.

giant pair of floating breats
I have yet to see a man call a woman a giant pair of floating breasts. I wait in breathless anticipation of that day, as the result will almost certainly be a show many people would pay good money to see.

Well, of course. I was just making a cultural reference in an attempt to get a laugh out of anyone who also got it. It would appear I didn't do so good though.

Just talk to her. Listen to what she says. PAY ATTENTION. Wait. Wait.
Punch her in the head...ok, I'm kidding. Seriousness ended at the second Wait. Sucks to be your age, by the way, it's always seems to be awkward if you have a functioning brain.

Some things are just more trouble than they're worth, or maybe not, who knows. That's when your brains do come in.

Don't take too long to build up from there though, else you'll get stuck in the "Friend Zone." By too long, I mean over 18 months. Thats probably too long. You run the risk of getting the "I don't want to risk our friendship" spiel when you finally pluck up the courage to ask them out.

I met my current girlfriend of a year and a half by sitting next to her in a class in college on my first day and saying very little to her and then after I saw her again and asked her if she was stalking me (jokingly of course) and that seemed to work pretty well.

Kill yourself. Oh wait *detoggles /b/ mode*

Just insinuate yourself into her social circles, try to attend the same gatherings as her and assuming she's not taken/you 2 get along, it should come naturally.

Just realised I'm not really qualified to give advice on this topic, since every girl I've been with has asked me out, not the other way around :-/
