Help: Fallout NV glitch

I've come to terms with the fact that New Vegas is riddled with bugs, but this one is realy getting under my skin.

I took Bone's quest in Novac to find his wife's kidnapper,and I know who it is (the front counter lady at the hotel) and I even have the incriminating note, but....It won't give me the dialogue option to ask her out to the dinosaur, so Boone can take his vengeful pot-shot. This same thing happened to me in my previous game, and I started over because I thought it glitched, and wanted to do it right. But now that its happene to me again, I'm getting quite pissed at it.

Is it really a glitch, or am I just missing something?

I think this may not be a bug and I think I may have had the same problem. It may depend on the time of day in the game you talk to the character. Try waiting for a bit, talking to the character at different times.

You have to wait until her shift is over and she leaves the lobby area and is outside. It's not a glitch so much as it is poorly thought out. Just wait until she leaves for the night, then talk to her once she is outside.

EDIT: At least that's what it was for me. When I talked to her inside the lobby I didn't have the chat option, but once I waited for her to leave for the night and talked to her outside, the chat option was available.

Also, state spoilers, I don't think this is for me and it was stated before in an article somewhere, but better safe than sorry.

Its not a bug, you have to do it during Boone's shift after..... 9:00pm? Something like that. She will be inside her house, just go wake her up. Fallout wikia might have been able to tell you that.

It actually makes sense. Boone is the night sniper.

it has to be night time, when Boone is on his shift, it might be that.

You have to wait until Boone's shift in the Dino starts (ie- 10pm-something am)
Also- wait until the receptionist leaves the building. Best bet is- wait inside the hotel lobby during the day, 'wait' until 10/11pm, when you finish waiting, she will leave the reception. As soon as she is outside, you can get her to walk in front of the Dino and get her slutty head blown off.
