Recently I have been bored out of my mind and have been pretty much only playing video games and working. Looking at xfire and seeing that I've played 41 hours worth of games in the past week has really made me realize that I need to find something better to do with my time, but I need help with ideas... Another problem, the few friends I do have live in different cities ranging from 15-40 minutes away, and one of us is usually always working, so I don't see them much anymore... Anyone have any ideas?

Read a book/comic/magazine, browse internet for random videos, tidy up, eat something, go for a walk, hit yourself, watch a movie, watch TV, make own shortmovie, think of ways how to conquer world, pretend to fight crime on the internet or build a fullscale model of your facorite spaceship.

The opportunities are endless.

Try to learn an instrument.
I'm learning the guitar at the moment, so when I get a bit tired of gaming, or watching TV, is simply sit on the floor with it, and experiment.

Either that, or go and read some news on the net. You'd be suprised at what you can find out! :D

Try reading "Atlas Shrugged", by Ayn Rand. At over a thousand pages, it should keep you busy for a while.

Run, or try to learn a new language in your spare time. It's what I'm doing over the summer.

Granted, I probably should have been doing it over the last two years at school, but that didn't work out too well.

You should build a lego city! Or even better, read a book and learn something. Or just as good, find a way to make money, like a part-time job, or do a couple odd-jobs. It builds character and earns a little extra green on the side.
