HELP Hacked Firmware

Hi, I just bought a psp today preowned. When I got it home i relaised that it has hacked firmware on, 5.50 GEN-03. I want to get rid of it so that I can go on the playstation store, but I don't know how. The USB cable isn't working because my computer doesn't show my psp when i connect it.

OT: Well, I think there are methods of removing custom firmware for PSP, but I think it has a bit of a chance of bricking it, which isn't good obviously. USB cable not working might be another problem besides the firmware, try using another one?

I have sorted it now, yay
