I'm not familiar with trading games much. I'm a lazy ass so it would be preferable if the method is easy. My dilemma is this:

I want to get FF13 for the Xbox 360, however I'm short on cash and I have several games I want to use to get FF13. Some shovelware and some big titles. The games I want to sell are as follows:

Borderlands (360)
Smackdown vs Raw 2007 (360)
Sonic Rush Zero Gravity (Wii)
Game Party (Wii)
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (Wii)
Emergency Heroes (Wii)
Advanced Wars: Dual Strike (DS)
Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass (DS)
All the games have manuals and are in their boxes in mint condition.
I live in Canada btw. Also a way to trade gamers directly would be better than trading a store.

Where can I go to trade the games for FF13? Some sort of site to trade gamer-to-gamer would be perfect, as I'm sure someone out there wants Borderlands. Honestly I regret buying this game, it was fun at first.. then ugh. Thanks for any help.

If you have the patience, its much more lucrative to sell them on something like Ebay or Overstock.

I was worried this might be the only answer. I was hoping there was some site "game swapping" site where people request games and can trade me what I want. Like "I'll give you FF13 if you give me Borderlands."

I don't know much about in-store trades, but from what I've heard, they aren't the best way to get what your games are actually worth. I'd give Switch Games [http://www.switchgames.com/] a try. They offer free gamer-to-gamer trading, so it's possible you could find someone looking to trade Borderlands for FF13 or something like that.

Firstly, there are no games you can sell that are of equal value to a new release. In Gamestop, for a new title you'd get about half the price when you sell it compared to what it cost when you bought it.

Borderlands might not even count as that, seeing as how it's not really a "Fresh" and "Hot" title anymore.

You will get absolutely nothing for Smackdown Vs Raw, as it is a sports game and they are unsellable.

As far as I know, you can't sell DS games in most stores. At least not what I have seen.

Wii games tend to be worth very little, especially if they are shovelware.

All of them combined might get you enough for FF13

There are game trading communities out there - I hear that Destructoid has a very nice community that may be something like what your looking for, but I don't know too much about it, just a friend who does a lot like that at Destructoid.com

I don't know about that. But if you sell Borderlands, Smackdown vs Raw 2007, Sonic Rush Zero Gravity, and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 on Ebay for the prices I just looked up, you could get a full price FF13, whilst at gamestop would have to cash out all of them.

I'm more focused on trading with gamer directly since I'e realized stores won't give me the value I want, haha.

Those stores are evil anyway. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Unless of course you want to abuse their "Trade in 2 games, get a pre-ordered one for free" policy. It has earned me tons of store-cash!

If you give me your DS you can have a PS3 version of FF13 though. That's a fair deal right?

Ah, shoot. Sorry about that, didn't know.

There's got to be a peer-to-peer trading service out there somewhere that also caters to Canadian gamers, though. There's definitely a demand for it.

Not sure what country you're from but if you're in the U.K. Cex is pretty good, http://www.cex.co.uk/sell/ along with gamestation http://gamestation.co.uk/ (can't check trade in prices here though).
From the various shops that I've been to, I've found that they won't lower the price of something just because you have multiple items to trade in so I wouldn't worry about that.

I live in Canada mate :( Sorry.
And EB Games is sneaky enough to do that, I'm sure.

I can't help you much since I live in the UK but that might be a lucrative business idea you have there, I might steal it off you.

Actually come to think of it I have never traded in a game before. You'll probably get more money if you sell it online.

Well I'm searching google and I find a bunch of Us only or UK only sites. And my own thread just to spite me.

I'm not sure I can use ebay without a credit card or something. And I won't want to involve my mother haha.

I'm pretty sure Goozex does Canada and other non-US stuff (including international trades). Haven't used it in a while, but my friend gave me a bunch of his old games a few years ago when I helped him move and he didn't want to take them with him, and I swapped the ones I didn't want to keep through there with no problems.

Best Buy seems to have a promising game trade in system, I'm sure I can get borderlands for 30-40 bucks if I'm lucky.

I can't pay online though, and that site seems to have a registration fee :(

I reckon go EBAY for anything over 3 months old. Other than that, local game shop.

My wife's mum just gave me Haven: Call to the King for the PS2. Reckon I can get some sweet trade in for that...
