Ok here's the thing, people lie to themselves all the time, it's normal and needed for survival

But this particular friend, I have constantly revised my opinion from Forgetful > Schizo to finally complete Delusional.

It's a Facebook app, you know the one that tells you your personality?

He took the quiz and I thought "Hey, it's all true" (5 or 6 statments)

But my friend is like "It's all wrong!"

So having known him for 6 years, I know that he doesn't like anything that differs from his worldview. But this just blows my mind.

Are humans that incapable of seeing the truth?

Seriously, who gives a crap?
It's a Facebook app! It doesn't matter whether or not your friend agrees with its assessment of him. And you certainly shouldn't cal him delusional for disagreeing with some stupid 5-minute quiz on Facebook.
In the words of that guy on the PS3 commercial, "I'm gonna file this under 'not a problem'."

well if he is your friend you should know by now that he is delusional. if you really want him to be able to see that it is true then point out how its is true to him.

Theres a problem with pointing out stuff to delusional people.

1) They tend to ignore it
2) They tend to get pissed at you.

Aside from the Facebook app, this is not the first time something like this has happened.

So you're upset because he doesn't agree with an online personality test?
What did it say about you?

If you point out your delusions to your delusional friend, he may think that you are delusional for thinking he is delusional. You cannot win.

I don?t think people lie to themselves all the time, now if you will excuse me I have to go spread the word of the God-Emperor! *woosh*

Seriously though this happens all the time, especially when boobies are involved. It?s usually something that?s better ignored because you get nothing from convincing these people of the truth and more often than not they will hate you for it.

More to the point what does that say about the OP?. Why did you label him as delusional when all he did was disagree with a facebook app result, of all things. Maybe I misread the OP's post but it seems that the OP is a bit delusional about the definition of delusional. I mean if he is unwilling to see actual reason then yeah, as a friend you have a problem, but honestly are you implying that facebook applications have a "reason" behind the gibberish and that disagreeing with that gibberish means a person is delusional?.

Have you considered that maybe you're the delusional one if you're placing such importance on a facebook application?
