Bought MineCraft yet?

If you have, I enjoyed Creeper World. I sank about 40~60 min on each level.
You can try out a demo on Kongregate; http://www.kongregate.com/games/whiteboardwar/creeper-world-training-sim?acomplete=creep

you can play Lara Croft solo too, but I'm sure it's more fun with coop, never tried it.

If you like strategy games, I recommend Total Annihilation. It's a fun and hectic RTS that you can get on GOG for six bucks.

retro as hell:
Castle of the Winds
i've lost many hours of my life to this lil gem.it isn't specifically breathtaking in any one way,but somehow it always leaves you with the age old "just one more level, then I'm done" mentality.repeatedly.

Get weed!

20 bucks worth should last you a weekend and every game will seem new and shiny.
Or get Kingdom Hearts, if you have any love for Disney get Kingdom Hearts.

civilization 5?
Ill think about it.
If you can find Civ4 at a decent prize, I would recommend that instead. The gameplay is better, the AI is far superior and it looks quite decent still.

Killing Floor has RPG elements, and I've wasted a lot of time on it. It's only twenty, last I remember. Oh, and don't get the DLC, it's just a cosmetic difference.

Fallout 3/New Vegas, if you want something action-y. Or Diablo 2, also quite action-y. Mass Effect is basically pushing the limits on the Action -> RPG spectrum, if you want to give that a look.

If you liked the Total War games, chances are that you might be into RTSs. If so, I'd give Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun or C&C 3 a try. Age of Empires 2 is also a classic. Most of the games mentioned above are dirt cheap now.
