Hey there,

So i have always wondered what some humor types are and what most other people find funny.

so yeah what would ... "wait..what" types of humor,
example from Red Vs Blue
Sister: "yeah sorry i dont have any particular skills, ... unless you want to see my ping pong ball trick.
Church: Wait what...

I also love puns, but more from the groans that people do after hearing them or crossing the line twice or multiple times.

I have a sadist sense of humour, I like dead baby jokes and most jokes that some people would find sick.

I love humour where i know someone out there is being offended at it, does that make me a bad person?

I like physical humour to an extent, as well as word play and picking up on unintended euphemisms.

I like shock humour but it doesn't work well on the internet seeing as anything goes really.
Kind of goes hand in hand with the sick jokes people would find ill as well.

Dry humour is awesome, my friends often attempt to mess with each other this way but we usually know the other is joking. (i.e Making a big deal out of nothing)
It's funnier when someone is serious though and the other person keeps pushing them thinking they are joking.

I like surreal humour as well, as long as it is funny and not just random words strung together to make something odd. Ross Noble for example, is good at surreal. "The Mighty Boosh" is good in bits but a lot of the time it's just trying to be funny by randomness.

I feel it does a pretty damn good job of that.

"And here we have the largest animal in the zoo, the Grey Leg-Face Man."
"The what?"
"You know, the Grey Leg-Face Man. He has legs, & another one on his face."
"You mean the Elephant?"
"Well sure, if you wanna get all technical about it."
I loved the first season, and most of the second, it's mostly the third I found to be "just random" instead of funny. Still good in parts though. :p

I don't mind any time of humor provided that it's tastefully done. Though as far as rankings go, I don't particularly care for shock humor.

Overextended metaphors.

Example:

"When you're cruising down the road in the fast lane and you lazily sail past a few hard-driving cars and are feeling pretty pleased with yourself and then accidentally change down from fourth to first instead of third thus making your engine leap out of your bonnet in a rather ugly mess, it tends to throw you off your stride in much the same way that this remark threw Ford Prefect off his."

I like absurd humour. Not the forced, 'random' Mighty Boosh kind, though. Something like Black Books or A Bit of Fry and Laurie.

I like unexpected humor(monthy python) that doesn't constantly repeat itself(watch some Japanese comedy if you wanna know) sadistic jokes can be fun, and sometimes even some darker humor
"A man decides on his 63th birthday that he wants to stop working and live a nice quiet live with his family in France, in order to do this he works like a nutcase for 2 years in order to have the money to take on such and adventure, the last years is full of pressure as he tries to get his finances and the building of his house right etc. Then finally one day he retires and sets out with his family to France, however it seems that the pressure from the years of working was way to much for his poor heart, so half an hour before he reaches his home he has a heart attack and dies..."
I feel kinda sorry for them but I couldn't help but laugh at this

Something that's clever and makes you think or maybe has a message behind it.

Fry and Laurie's Hedge Sketch has no punchline but amazing technical skills

I have a fairly mean and bitter angry sort of sense of humour, similar in some sense to Yahtzee. I like making obscure referances to pop culture and with clever and intelligent sophisticated word use as opposed to talking like a common person. I guess I like a comedian who can deliver an edgy personality to his routine.

I like a lot of humor, I'm not sure how to describe it, Yahtzee is funny but I'm thinking it's more in the roots of his humor. Another comedian Dr. Stewart Ashen on youtube is another English comedian who makes me laugh all the time, perhaps it's because they're both well rounded with their words ( and I'm an idiot who giggles at big words durf) or perhaps it's just the way the English deliver it. Ashens seems to have a sense of humor that floats about on self parody and what not.

You know I'm not really sure where I'm going with this (might be that it's 6:40AM)but I'm going to just sum it up and say I enjoy English comedy, Faulty Towers, Monty Python, Black Adder, Vicor of Dibly, Dr. Ashen, Yahtzee, etc etc.

Dr Ashen if you haven't heard of him:

He reviews Chinese knockoffs and other "tat" as he put it, well spoken and funny.

Obscure and random for me. Then again as long as its not celebrity humor I'm content. Fuck The Soup!

I really have no idea what my prefered sort of humour is.
Laughter usually catches me entirely unawares.

I just laugh. I like most comedy.

I do however, have a special place in my heart for black humor.
