Below the blog post's title it says "Countries: AE, AU, GB, IE, NZ". So this is hardly for Europe as a whole.

"We are currently in the process of identifying how we manage this situation"- This phrase makes no sense. No sense was made this day.

Good to see they're taking the right steps and handling it calmly.

I'd be happy if I got the freebies since I own both PS3 and PSP but in all honesty it doesn't bother me, im too addicted and engaged with FF13 at the moment.

It does make sense. What it means, is they're looking into what steps they must take to provide this fix to other countries. So basically looking at how to implement the Insurance they have in the US into other countries so they all have the same protection and benefit.

Apologies, apologies. I am a Canadian (probably why I started off with an apology, heheh) and was mainly trying to say I hadn't heard anything from Sony about Canada and its couple million users (guestimate, have no idea), just some acknowledgement that we are here too would be nice is all (that being said, I didn't know about the credit and debit card theft from the intrusion that was mainly focused on user's in Europe when I wrote this comment, so I can see how they would want to calm user's over there more so considering they've had the most information stolen so far: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/116/1166503p1.html - look at April 16th-17th).

Also, when I wrote "north of you" I was referring to the SCEA which is based in the US, no? Foster City, CA. I thought, but you're right about their tech base in Japan. I just figured if announcements were going to be made regarding the intrusion they'd be coming from SCEA in the US, that is all. Also, sarcasm doesn't come across well via text so, picture a Canadian saying my comment out-loud to a Sony exec with an extremely sarcastic tone and it should make sense.

Again, apologies for the confusion, just a small comment, didn't really think too much of it.
