Gah! It's been bugging me all day! I've searched google but to no avail.

I'm looking for a cookie. A very special cookie that holds a dear place in my heart. It was my favorite cookie as a child, but I forgot about it during my teens. I can't even remember its name. Every now and then, I'll be in the store and look for. I've not found it. Not even once. I'm seriously craving it right now and really would like a taste of my past.

So, I'm pretty sure it was vanilla flavoured and of the consistency of shortbread. It was in the shape of a flower with a hole in the center. You'd put your finger through the hole, nom around the edges and pretend it was a ring.

Please help! If nothing more than to save my sanity! I'm going to go insane if I can't figure out at least what it was called.

Was it the Keebler fudge stripes? Same description you gave, and I remember doing the same thing with the hole in the center.

Peak Freans or however you spell them? They come in a wide variety and I think the cookie you described is one of them.

No, that's what I was eating that reminded me of these cookies I'm trying to find. They're really similar, though.

The bottom one! That's it! Well... the shape and the hole. I think they had little ridges emphasizing the flower design but it's close enough! Thanks guys! Anyone know what they're actually called? Besides butter cookies?
