I'm British. I don't like that. I want to move to Canada or, possibly, the USA. How do I go about doing this?
First off, has anyone gone through this? Gotten a visa to live and work permanently in another country, I mean. If so, can you help me?
Secondly, can any Canadians tell me a little about Canada. I've only ever been to Niagara and it's a very dull place, but Toronto and Vancouver seem so damn appealing to me
There are companies that help out students who want to work in or travel to Canada/USA for a short time but I'm nearly done being a student so these companies are going to be useless to me soon
Help? Anyone? Please?

I am a canadian and let me say that if you dont like freezing your ass off, dont come here.

It gets really damn cold here at EVERY PART OF THE COUNTRY!

I still recommend this place if you can accept cold though, we have healthcare and syrup ;)

I love the cold. I wanted to move to New York (I went there years ago and fell in love) until last winter when I realised that I'd like to move to a place that's cold and also much better than the UK. Also Toronto has a great music scene

Since your almost done, you could use your skills to acquire a work visa. A lot of places, Canada especially are beginning to be stricter with granting immigration status but it helps for those who show they will indeed contribute to the society they are trying to join.

If all else fails, use that British charm and accent to seduce an American female tourist. ;)

I am the son of an immigrant and I myself am an immigrant. But I was only like 11 and my dad took care of everything so I can't really help much, but I can relate.
