Today I bought Red Steel 2 and happily attached the included Wii MotionPlus and popped in the game. There was only one problem, the cursor was jumping all over the screen and the calibration isn't working. I tried to call Nintendo but their customer support line is closed. Has/is this happening/ed to anyone else? And how can I fix it?

Edit: Yes I know not many people here are into the Wii. I'm not either, I just wanted Red Steel. Thanks for the help.

lol stop being a nubcake and buy a real console... ok joke. I dont have a wii myself, but there is always the good old "turn it off and on again". Beyond that have you tried hitting it? preferable with something not quite heavy enough to damage it, but enough to give it a good jolt, will fix most things. Or you can just wait for a sensible answer or for the customer service lines to open up... up to you.

Probably not best to ask us since I only know of a couple serious Wii gamers. Are you sure you set it up right, try recalibrating it, maybe luck will be your lady tonight and it will work.

Are there strong light sources nearby that might be generating interference? Turn down the lights, turn off any possible sources of interference, reorient the Wii Sensor Bar, and try again. Failing that, wait until the support lines open up, or perhaps check their website.

Unplug and replug everything. If that doesn't work then you may want to return the device due to/resulting of damage from the retailer. Make sure you don't throw away the recept.

Well this is the first game I've actually bought for my Wii since I got it a couple months ago. I just wanted Red Steel. I'm a 360 player through and through. I was tempted to hit it, but I resisted. I guess all I can do is wait.

It sounds like the problem is with your sensor bar. Make sure it's in a good, open space where nothing can obstruct the signal, and be sure not to sit too close. Also, you might consider checking the battery level of the Wiimote you're using.

Short of that, I can't really think of much to help. You might just have to wait for the customer service lines to open.
