Help me remember what this game is called!

There was this game I used to play when I was little. I can't remember what it was called, but I really enjoyed that game. Here's everything I remember about it:

It is a 2d platformer
It is about a decade old now
You played a chicken
In some later levels you could transform into an owl
It had a world system, sort of like Mario
I think you collected carrots or something, even though you were a chicken.

I know I'm being really vague, but I've been trying to think of the name all day. Has anyone else heard of this game?

The only game I can think of where you play as a chicken is Alfred Chicken for SNES. It was a 2d platformer, but I don't remember much else.
