Help me with my headset issue?

im using a logitech g330 headset and it works goot for headphones
but the problem is with the mic
it doesnt pick up my voice
i literally have to have it in my mouth for it to pick up sound
this is especially prominent in TF2. people said it sounded like i was whispering
any tech advice?

I'd have to ask what program you are using. Are you using a games' own onboard chat, or are you going through Ventrilo or some other program? You first do a sound test on your computer; the sound test will ask you to speak into the mic so you can see how well it picks up and plays back, and this is the quality others should hear it at as well. After doing that, you may have to set the audio configurations inside the game/chat program you are using.

I hope that was helpful; I used to have problems all the time with games' inside chat. I used to subscribe to Vent, but now I don't have the time to play that much anymore.
