My rig appears to have a hard time running TF2 (30 FPS mac on low settings).

CYRI says I can run it fine, but it runs like a piece of crap.

Here's my computer specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.2 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT
2 GB of RAM

What graphics settings should I use?

EDIT: Sorry, I misread. Those specs are pretty decent. Try running it on other settings or go on one of the Mac forums.

As far as I know, that's actually a pretty sweet graphics card.

EDIT: I have good specs besides my graphics card, it's a Nvidia Geforce 8500, I can still run it fine, and it still looks pretty.

Turn down Anti-aliasing all the way, and put AS filtering on bilinear. And turn dynamic range all the way off. It should run perfect. :)

Alright, but what about the other graphics settings?

And if it doesn't run that well, it doesn't really matter, because I'm getting a Core i7 soon.

You could have the processor from a Japanese Government super computer, but it wouldn't mean anything for gaming if you didn't have a video card to back it up.
