Help please! My picture's too large!

Hey escapist, I was hoping that one of you fine people could give me some advice on a certain issue!

You see I have this picture on my PC that's 2 MB large, and I need to scale it down so that it's no bigger than a 100 k bytes. Problem is, I have no idea how one could achieve this, so I'm asking for assistance!

Pretty, pretty please! With sugar on top!

You got paint or something of the like?
Shrink it with that, it won't be all that pretty, but it will work.

change the dpi or ppi. you can make it black and white instead of color. if its 2inches wide, shrink it to something more managable. i have photoshop so if you have problems, i can do it for you.
