Hello Escapist Forum

Someday today I am supposed to get all my new computers parts in the mail. I will probably start putting it together immediately and from a lot of videos I've watched I have put together a basic knowledge of how to get the parts together but I wanted to confirm my knowledge by posting how I am going to do it here and hopefully some of you can help make sure I've got it all right.

Before I start this is my build, I had a $600-$700 budget.

Okay I'm gonna make this easy and put it in a numeric order.

1. The basics; organize everything, take everything out, remove static, wash hands.

2. Place the motherboard down

3. Install the processor by connecting the arrow on the processor to the arrow on the motherboard and use the lever to keep the processor installed.

4. Adjust the tower so it works with the mother board

5. Mount the mother board

6. Mount the power supply

7. Mount the Hard Drive

8. Mount the fan on the processor

9. Mount the DVD burner

10. Install the RAM to the 1 and 3 slots

11. Begin connecting the cords using the manual to figure out which cords connect where.

12. Turn on the computer, make sure it works, install drivers and such,

13. Install the graphic card.

14. Done!?

So this is what I am going to be using to guide me through my first computer put together, if I'm missing something or got something wrong please tell me, thanks!
