HELP. re: Steam

I bought a copy of napoleon total war off amazon the other day, and after it arrived i tried to install it. as with all recent total war games you need to install steam, then enter a product code which is verified before it installs.

ERRRKKK - "duplicate product key", basically saying it had already been used and i therefore couldn't use it.

what do i do? can i buy a new one? do i need to get amazon to take it back and get my money back? have i been ripped off?

please help.

Tell the situation both Steam and Amazon and wait what they have to say. I honestly would just send the game back because "it's broken" (playing dumb) but Total War is a good series so I understand that it is worth a try.

had the same problem when I got CODBLOPS from Free Record shop went back the same day and exchanged it for a sealed copy.
