Hello fellow escapists, lately my grandmother's been trying to remember the name of a film, she sent me an E-mail about the whole situation, so here:
I'm looking for a movie and I cannot remember either the name of the movie or the names of the two main actors, though I've seen both of them in other films, they're not unknown.
Made in the last 20 years or so, but set in the 1960s, think set in New York. . The female lead is a left-wing activist, the male lead is an FBI agent trailing her. He's tall, blonde, a diffident shuffling sort of character.
The twist is that she is also being pursued by some other enemy, and the FBI man becomes her ally in escaping...
There is one terrific scene involving a bomb that's been set up in her kitchen. The FBI man defuses it and does the job with a fraction of a second to go --very tense. Also a very good scene at the chase at the end in some famous building --Grand Central Station, maybe?
