Help remembering a game.

Okay I have very little memory of the game, but I really enjoyed it. I'll try to remember as much about it as possible.

It was a 2D side scroll game and you played as some kind of round, colourful creature (maybe similar to kirby, but my memory fails me). It involved the use of either water balloons or water balls that you create and use to defeat enemies and traverse puzzles. I'm really not sure what console it was on (I was young) but my best guess is that it would be either the Sega Megadrive or the SNES.

Sorry for the lack of information, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like Bubble Bobble to me! It's on the XBL arcade too if you are so inclined.

Hmm, no that wasn't it. It was more of an adventure game with bosses and puzzles to traverse. It was side scrolling similar to Mario.
