Ok, so I've been cultivating an interest in doing some video editing, maybe do some machinima style music videos, dabbling, etc. I've bought the Adobe Production Premium CS4, so I'm good for editing / vfx tools and already have a solid audio background, but....
How the hell do you guys get your video captures (perticularly for console titles)?. The only piece of software I'm familiar with is FRAPS, though with that, I've just been taking screenshots of PC titles. I know it as videocap function, and I've got it working, but the filesize of uncompressed 30fps 1640x1050 res videos is ridiculous.
So, please, help a video noob move out of the nooberhood and into a nice flat(screen).
