I can't seem to figure how to access the graphical settings window, which popped up the very first time I booted the game, now that I want to change them. There doesn't seem to be an option in game, either. Then again, its hard to play far enough to get to some kind of "menu" tutorial beyond the ESC key menu when its framerate is basically 0 FPS.

I trying uninstalling it from Steam and then reinstalling it, but it didn't give me the settings window.

Can no one help me with this? I mean, Beyond Good and Evil is a cult classic and this site has a ton of Steam users, so I was hoping there's be a response by now. i'm new to this PC gaming stuff. So, this might be very simple and I'm clueless.

Maybe you should search the files on you pc for `Beyond Good and Evil` sometime there are 2 versions to start the game the normal and 1 with the setting window with it.

(PS:sometimes its a little slow to respond so it will take longer than 30 minutes)

I had this trouble as well. The audio totally desynched with the video and when I tried to change it, the game wouldn't give me the option. I ended up uninstalling it and will try again after I work through Monkey Island the Jedi Knight Pack, but I'd like the info.
Audio was desynched, eh? Exactly what happened to me in the intro, except I had HUGE issues with framerate due to a shitty PC...and then I got the ability to play...and it wasn't pretty.

I'm hoping that if I can run Torchlight on medium settings, that I'm able to run this on low.

Right click on the game in your, "My Games" list, and go too "View Forum". Every time ive had a problem, the forum has either had the answer, or my question is answered within a day. It's a better bet then here, because everyone on the pertinent forum is going there specifically to talk about the game you need help with. I believe there is an answer, at the very top of the forum, regarding vsync.

Not that it is much help but have you tried googling your question I always find an answer from the links it provides although with a bit of searching other than that I would say uninstall and maybe be patient for the window to open sometimes it does take ages for there things to happen.

Bah, you old people and your "discs".

I do buy 99% of my games on disc. I'm not much of a PC gamer, as I find using a keyboard and mouse uncomfortable. And am a console gamer. But a few things come out on PC that I want. Do you know how much Morrowind sucks on 360? Do you?! It takes 5 minutes to load after hitting "load game". An actual five minutes. And you do it again if you die!

I still own my first Morrowind disk!

Yea, I actually do have it on the 360 too. And you're completely right.

Horrid, isn't it? Also makes crime less viable, since you'd have to reload if you got caught.

Essentially forces you to go "High HP Warrior Nice Guy" on 360.

I have since tried that. And the framerate is indeed better, but not the audio sync...

The port is not THAT good but the right options panel in this folder has a lot of options, try out some combinations; if you can make it run smoothly in the main canal of the city you did it right (Mine reset after deleting local files so there are not correct)

Oh and long live Digital Distribution Deals [http://i49.tinypic.com/2u6p5wp.png]

I just nabbed this game myself yesterday, hopefully it won't give me any issues since my PC is rather burly. *Fingers crossed*

An honest tip for you: If you're going to buy an older PC game, check and see if gog.com has it first before downloading it from any other service including Steam as gog are pretty much the only ones out there who take the time to make sure all their games run on new computers. Also no DRM, no steam-esc downloading service that *has* to be running for the game to work, and a whole bunch of free junk that comes with every game. It's pretty sweet.

Well I wish I had something to contribute, but all I can say is good luck. BG&E is truly an incredible game, and I really hope you get it working.

Are you using the proper OS? I know Steam's copy of BG&E has a lot of problems off of Windows XP(It says it only works with that on the bottom of the page), thats whats stopped me from getting it.
