I re-installed Doom 3 recently, but my computer uses Windows 7, and that generally doesn't agree with older games. It works just fine, actually, but the character models are AWFUL. I'm not saying that becuase the graphics are old, I mean there's actually a problem. They seem...unfinished. It's like the last few "layers" haven't been put on yet. The pupils are missing, the lighting is weird (Too bright, even with low brightness). Everyone's skin lookws like paper models, etc. I've installed updates and stuff, but nothing is working. Also, I've tried it on every setting (ultra quality to low quality), but nothing makes a difference. I was reading something about driver updates or something? Where can I find those? As you can see, I'm technologically retarded, and I'm worried about screwing it up permanently. Can anyone please help me, AND put it into terms that someone like me can understand? Thanks. XD

To update drivers, go to the website of whichever manufacturer made your graphics chip (it's either ATI or NVidia), go to "drivers", select your card model, and download and install.
For super easy mode if you have NVidia: go to your NV control panel, click 'help', then 'updates'. Then just click what comes up, this takes you to the download page on the company's website. Download, install.
Drivers can occasionally have some problems but I've never heard of a video driver update doing permanent damage so don't worry about that.
