My fellow escapists i need your help, i've just purchased a 3DS and set up my nintendo network id, i got the confirmation email and it had a code in it that i have to enter on my 3DS, it tells me i need to go to the id settings then email address verification from the system settings, i'm kind of confused by this as to get to system settings i need to come out of the id settings menu and to boot i don't have an email address verification option, can anyone help? if you could get back to me ASAP as the code is only good for 24 hours.

Bonus question: I'm going to get the new pokemon but not sure which one to get, i know everytime the new pokemon games are released they are the same but with different legendarys and a few different pokemon but i was just wondering if there was any major difference in the two new ones.

Bonus bonus question (for discussion value): who do you think is the best starter? and which starter pokemon did you pick?

ooook i read it wrong and have already confirmed my email address the code was there if you (for some weird reason) didn't want to click the link, so can a mod delete this please

You can just google X and Y differences, I did and I think the bulbapedia or somewhere has the pokemon that are available only in each version, which are the only major differences between them.

Best starter is Froakie, because Greninja is the most awesome final evolution of any starter ever.

With the GTS and wonder trade (to a lesser extent) starters are easy to get. A common tactic is since you are given a Blaziken (with speed boost thatbmakes it feel borderline broken) to choose either water or grass starters. Shortly after the start, once you reach Lumiose you are rewarded with a Gen 1 starter also, allowing you to round out your grass-water-fire trifecta.

This time around the ONLY difference is Pokemon available.

But again, gts and wt make it pretty easy to get what you need, and come Dec 27th the games will be flooded with the rest of them.

Best starter is Chespin, always Chespin!
*glares at and hugs my Froakie with the Protean hidden ability*
What was that Tizzy, I couldn't hear that over Chesnaught being unable to kill my Greninja? XD

OT: When it comes to the new Pokemon games it really comes down to the exclusive Pokemon in each version. For the Mega Evolutions, Pinsir and Aaron are exclusive to X while Heracross and Larvitar are exclusive to Y, but their stones are in the opposite game. >.>

As for starters I chose Froakie, and once you beat the game and unlock Friend Safari's you can get starters with their hidden abilities, and Froakie's hidden ability is beast!

Very few differences between the two as everyone has already said. I really like Xerneas, so I would suggest X, but Yveltal is awesome too.

I chose Froakie as my starter. At the time after seeing the other two's final forms, Greninja looked so much cooler. Though I have since gotten to use Fennekin/Delphox a lot too. So I would recommend Froakie or Fennekin.
