It's for an assignment where I have to make a public project that would help the community. I chose to teach students basic computer skills but I need info on how many people attend these sort of workshops so I can organise the venue.

To start, you need to understand and define exactly what you mean by ?high school students and other youth? and ?public educational projects?

Without a clear definition of both these terms any statistics you get will be arbitrary and therefore meaningless.
