Help with...stuff

Okay this is kinda embarrasing.

I'm sixteen years old and I am bisexual. All of my friends know, but I havn't come out to my family yet because both of my parents are extremely homophobic. As pathetic as it sounds, I don't like hiding things from them because the last time I tried it ended...well, lets's keed it at badly.

What do I do?

If you think they'd react badly it's probably best to wait until you're out of their house to tell them. And make sure you get out as soon as possible.

As for actually telling them, how is the rest of your family? Could you enlist the assistance of another relative?

I agree with the first comment, there is definitely power in numbers. (Also witnesses, if worse comes to worse )

I kid! Also, if you could wait until you go to University or something of that sort, it might be easier on them, seeing how they'd see you as more mature.

Also, seeing as you're 16, I assume you're in high school. Make sure you don't tell anyone other than your close friends if you don't want to be relentlessly bullied. It's a shame, but at least people are more mature about that sort of thing in university.

Thanks for the advice, but actually quite a lot of people know and I don't get a lot of prejudice for it. I guess in England we are actually fairly tolerant about homosexuality (once you hit about 14 you kind of stop caring)

You don't have to come out >.> you said you where bi so theres still a chance that you'll meet a nice girl and settle down. But yeah listen to everyone else, if you gotta tell em then move out first
