Both solid choices. Twisted Pixel also has 'Splosion Man and The Maw. Braid is also excellent. You might want to play Geometry Wars as well, which is pleasantly cheap.

If you got pals to play with, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game and Castle Crashers are good choices, even if they do lose their replay value pretty quick.
If you're more a single-player bloke, I thought Shadow Complex was a pretty good game. Gives you lots of stuff to do.

My top picks would be Serious Sam: TFE, Pac Man Championship Edition DX and Braid.

For some reason I just kind of assume that everyone already has Geometry Wars, but when I think about it hardly anyone I know does. It's pretty good since it's perfect for dropping twenty minutes into whenever you like, whereas nearly all my other XBLA games have been flavour of the week, and then kind of dropped thereafter. Rez and Ikaruga are very good indeed, but I don't play them with the frequency I do GW, and I've had GW a hell of a lot longer.

Rez HD is one of the most awesome games of all time, it's a ridiculously fun trip toy, and it has one metric shit ton of replay value. I can't suggest it highly enough.

Toy Soldiers is a really good game, I also recommend N+, it's fun but can get incredibly difficult at times. Oh and Worms 2 of course is a brilliant game (great for when you have friends over, I can play that game for hours)

If you're willing to deal with a bit of lag and some miscellaneous issues, Battlefield 1943 can be a hell of a lot of fun, especially if you're playing with friends. Try the demo first, though, it'll give you 30 minutes of online play on one of its maps, Wake Island.

Also, Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game. Though it's not worth it at all unless you have a couple friends that you can play with locally, seeing as there's no online play whatsoever. Quite a shame.

Well Castle crashers is a good experience with tons of replay value, and fun multiplayer.

Sonic Adventure if you liked it on the dreamcast or wanted to know what Sonic 3D games were like when they were good.

Shadow Complex if you like metroidvania.

You could consider the Dead Rising games Case: zero and Case: West. You don't need the retail game to play them, and even though I don't have Dead Rising 2, found them fun.

Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie.

But for anything I recommend doing the trial game first.
