Help Yarkaz with MS Word?

Hiya Escapists,
I'm having a bit of a problem with Microsoft Word (Trouble on a PC? What a shocker!) and may or may not have a big assignment due tomorrow which I have procrastinated on for the last two weeks. The problem looks something like this.

See those paragraph symbols, indent arrows, and dots where spaces should be? I'm not sure how they were activated, but I would very much like for them to be unactivated. Does anyone know what they are and how to stop them?

Hit CTRL+SHIFT+8 and they should go away. They won't show up if you print it out or if it's read by someone who doesn't have them enabled.
