Well, my computer is on the verge of death apparently. I get a bluescreen every now and then and I cant start games. I cant start any games except steam games. The problem when I start them is that it starts loading but the game never starts, its open in processes taking about 72K instead of the usual 700,000k and after about 10-20 minutes I get an error saying that it couldnt be started. I have vista, anyone with any suggestions? =) And no, I dont want to reformat.

Vista? All advice i can give is to kill it with fire. Then get either XP or Windows 7.

You could try partial system reinstall (without reformating hard drive), but i can't guarantee anything.

I think it's about time you get a new computer or laptop. Alianware is the best for gameing but is a ridiculas price. Dell XPS are also good. Just remember a happy graphics card is a happy gamer.

These are variables you should be looking at: graphics cards, RAM, CPU, Hard drive etc
too improve your computer.

I recommend looking at other websites which are only about computers to get some idea.

Try reinstalling DX and updating your graphics drivers.

Download some free virus/spyware scanners.
