Just Curious if you have any stories of especially helpful tech Support.

I needed help setting up my router. I called my ISP tech support, since they support routers as well, and got a man who was american. He was helpful and patient. It turns out that I made a slight mistake that was cleared up easily, and he walked me through the entire set-up. I could have finished it myself, but he decided to stay on the line. Made it very easy.

I once called windows tech support. They refused to help me since the copy of windows I had came from a college campus, and i got it for 10 dollars. Also I've gotten too many non-americans with an accent, but also ones that read from a list of problems.

But this guy knew his stuff. I just wish it could always be this easy.

I work as an in-store technician for Geek Squad. I tend to be pretty helpful.

For me, almost every issue that people come in for is pretty easy for me to fix. I do a pretty good job about talking about what happened, what I'm doing to fix it, and how to prevent it from happening again. In a way that people can understand. Analogies are my best friend.

But really, google is a technician's best tool

Modem's, routers, and internet in general is a ***** to figure out and i have called tech support lines to much for that. Belkan was helpful and quick, basically it amounted unplug everything in this order and plug it back up in this order, and it resets itself, the first time i called at least they were helpful. Yeah apparently my internet service doesn't work well with belkan routers.

I also got a lady working from home that was American had a country accent she was fun and conversational while i was waiting to restart my computer, i foget who she was with.
