Here for Zero Punctuation? See Yahztee in Person Instead!

See Yahtzee tackle games live in The Hour of Love, Q&A With the Escapists, My Favorite Game, and Fanboyism panels.

First, the bad news: There's no Zero Punctuation this week. Now, the fantastically awesome news: Instead of his normal, weekly review, we've got hours of Yahztee live at this weekend's Escapist Expo instead! Don't worry, Yahtzee will be back next week for his usual timeslot, but for now, you can watch him and the rest of the Escapist talent dish about games, movies, what they love, what they hate, fanboyism, and more in our Expo panel video series.

Check out all our panels from the Escapist Expo last weekend in both video and audio-only formats! [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/conferences/escapist-expo-2012]

Here are some highlights, in case you need some guidance:

The Hour of Love [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escapist-expo/6292-The-Hour-of-Love]

Hour of Love sets out to answer one important question: What if some of your favorite gaming critics were all put in one room and only allowed to say nice things for an entire hour? Dr. Mark Kline moderates as The Escapist contributors must all swallow their bile and think about nothing but rainbows instead.

Q&A With the Escapists: Day 2 [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escapist-expo/6293-Q-A-With-The-Escapists]

You've got questions, we've got answers. If you've ever wondered how Yahtzee learned to talk so fast, why MovieBob hates Michael Bay, why Jim is banned from Konami events or if Gavin really is that bad at Call of Duty, now's your chance to ask. Escapist staff will be pulling questions directly from the audience, so be ready to be curious.

My Favorite Game [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escapist-expo/6294-My-Favorite-Game]

Everyone has that one game that they put on a pedestal. The one game that you measure all other games against. The Escapist contributors talk about their favorite games and why they will always compare new titles to the one game that provided the perfect mix of character, story, and skill challenge.

Fanboyism [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escapist-expo/6300-Fanboyism]

Fanboys. We all know one, and some of us may even be one. Like it or not, "fanboyism" is a massive force in nearly all social circles, either online or as part of your local gaming group. But what's the impact the phenomenon really has on our culture?

Songwriting With Miracle of Sound [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escapist-expo/6322-Songwriting-with-Miracle-of-Sound]

Writing a hit song is a real science, especially when each piece is an homage to a favorite game or movie. Gavin has spent years writing songs under the moniker Miracle of Sound and he will pass on his extensive knowledge along in this panel. Maybe he'll even break out his guitar and sing a few of his favorites. He takes requests!

How to Review Games [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escapist-expo/6311-How-To-Review-Games]

Reviewing videogames looks easy, but it takes more than just playing something and writing about it - especially if you want to keep an audience entertained. Learn the art behind the entertainment as the creators of Zero Punctuation, Game OverThinker, and Unskippable discuss the tools they use to take games apart.

Sad to see that he won't have a vid this week, but then again, the panels were amazing. Gotta recover from the long trip and the massive amount of fans.

No one despair, trust me, the panels are freakin hilarious.

A shame, but understandable considering the Expo was three days ago, and those hour-long videos are pretty damned entertaining, so it more than makes up for a lack of ZP.

In all seriousness I'm not too surprised...and I have been enjoying the panels...was honestly surprised to see them already...Yahtzee is forgiven...this week

Nothing really interesting besides Guild Wars 2 and Borderlands 2 came out in the past 2 weeks, so that's alright.

I don't think he did, but it would have been a good idea if he played Guild Wars 2 live in front of fans so that people witness that part of his creative process.

That's what happens when you live in Australia. I am sure he had to fly over earlier than everyone else.

I would be surprised if there was a ZP video since he lives in Australia and was doing a lot of stuff at the Expo.

Why would I need a ZP episode this week when I have those awesome videos to watch? :D

I kinda anticipated he'd be a bit too busy with the expo this week.

No bother, I had my fill.

No bother, the various hour-long videos of him and others at the Expo more than make up for it.

So no LRR either? Well there goes my Wednesday :(
Feed Dump will be going up today, it's just stuck encoding at the moment.
What about the MoS concert? You know... because I was there and want to see it again :D

That'll be up later in the week. That one actually needs a bit of editing and such, so it'll take a little longer to put together. Be patient. :)

I hope there's a video of The Love Room somewhere. I want to see Yahtzee struggle to say only nice things.

My god, people expected a video? I can see it now: A black screen with the title of a game on it in Times New Roman and a severely jetlagged Yahtzee mumbling "Fuck you all." Even ignoring the flight, the fourteen hour time difference is brutal! (2 PM Wednesday in Durham is 4 AM Thursday in Brisbane.)
