That's not really an answer to a riddle. I'm sorry, but that answer sounds like something someone makes up when they don't know the actual answer. In my opinion, a riddle has to be solvable with clues given in the question (i.e. you need to be able to come to a logical basis as to why the answer is correct).
Saying they were wise because they chose to determine themselves as wise isn't really an answer... it's an opinion. One could easily argue it was unwise to move when their master had not specifically told them to. That answer just rewards guessing, is what I'm saying.
