So the ps4 will not have backwards compatibility. If the cell ran at 3.2ghz, sata3.0/usb3.0/Thunderbird all apparently run at 4.8 Gbit/s and above.
Could you not make an add on peripheral that connected to the system via sata3.0/usb3.0/Thunderbird and let the public decide if they want backwards compatibility. It would keep the initial cost down and I'm sure people would be than willing to pick one up later down the line.
What you all think? Anyone with any technical knowledge knows if this is plausible?
