Hey! I Recognize That Voice/Person!

All the bloody time I play a game. Though I think the most surprising one was when I was playing Bayonetta only to find that Father Balder was voiced by Liam O'Brian and usually I can recognize his voice from a mile a way. Once while playing F:NV I spoke to 3 different characters in a row all sharing his voice..

Was also pretty shocked when I realised Noel from FF13-2 shared a voice actor with Boone (F:New Vegas).

I can pretty much recognize most Actors/Voice Actors mentioned in this thread..

Slightly off-topic: Speaking of recognizing voices, surely most of you have seen/heard this from ECCC this year: seven of the most known, if not necessarily recognizable, voice actors in animation... reading Star Wars... in characters. Blew my mind. (NSFW language).

The fact that Sean Bean voiced Martin Septim in Oblivion came as a shock, since all the voice-talent hype went to Patrick Stewart.

That, and every time George Takei does a voice in a video game, I immediately have to alt-tab adn check if its really him.

I've actually got a lot of these moments, so I'm just show an example.

I was watching my brother play through Tales of Symphonia for the first time (great game, one I highly recommend)... and wondered why Lloyd's voice sounded so familiar... then it hit me, that was the same voice as Robin in the Teen Titans cartoon!

Actually, that game had a lot of good voices (like Kari Whalgren, Crispin Freeman and Tara Strong, to name a few)... though they changed the voice actors for the sequel.. for some stupid reason.

The first time I saw The Iron Giant the voice of antagonist Kent Mansley sounded eerily familiar. Later in the credits I found out he was voiced by none other than Chistopher McDonald. Not an extremely famous actor, but he has a very unique and distinct voice.

Also the guy who voiced Kaneda in Akira is the same who voiced Kintaro from Golden Boy. He's also practically my favourite Japanese voice actor, because he's got such amazing energy to his performance.

I just replayed Left 4 Dead one quite recently with a few friends, and we played Death Toll. We was at the Church, and I noticed that the Crazy guy that locked himself in the church actually was The Scout's voiceactor, which was quite suprising for me

Blew my mind to discover that "Death" in "Darkstalkers II" was voiced by none other than Michael Wincott, best known for Top Dollar in "The Crow".

Man, I loved that movie. And he was such a great villain!

When I first started watching the Bleach english dub I heard Ichigo talk and went "Woah! It's Lelouch from Code Geass, is he going to mind control someone now?"

I usaully recognize the voices of english voice actors from anime and sometimes games. I know the main alien enemy in Megas XLR reminded me of the voice of a seargent or something in a game I once played but I couldn't place him.

I was so happy when I played Bulletstorm, because my first thought was OHMAGERDIT'SDEMPSEY!

I love that he's the tutorial/information voice in Company of Heroes, it makes it 100% more badass.

I was playing Mass Effect for the first time, and immediately I recognized Kaiden's voice actor as Carth's voice actor.

I also think he plays Scorch from Delta Squad in Republic Commando.

I guess that guy likes sci-fi games.

Also, the guy from Bulletstorm is voiced by Tank Dempsy of Nazi Zombies origin.

I was recently playing guild wars and I noticed that the protagonist's voice (Female Norn) was Aela the Huntress from Skyrim.

Needless to say 1/2 my characters in guilds wars are now Female Norn (just different classes)

I made the connection while I was watching an episode of Adventure Time and Jake said he used to snatch old ladies' purses.
