Juego de pelota Mesoamericano. Specifically, the sacrifices involved.

I've cross checked it with a whole mess of almost semi-reliable sites, but it keeps on giving me contradictory info. Sometimes the winners get sacrificed, sometimes it's the losers, sometimes it's just the captain, sometimes the entire team... GRAH!

Can anyone help clear this up?

Oh that! Usually the losers, but sometimes both if you're wondering. Aztecs just didn't want the sun to explode, so they fed it as many human hearts as they could.
