Neither does anyone else!

But for real, did anyone here back it to the amount of getting it early. Because confirmation emails for shipping were supposed to go out today, to backers and apparently nobody with an internet connection seems to have gotten one.

I just remember all the articles about what a marvel this thing was supposed to be and here we are on supposed launch day (there's supposed to be a launch party tonight) and hardly a peep about it.

I do remember that I was sceptical so didn't donate to the Kickstarter. I don't think the company is going to do a vanishing act but I'm expecting trouble, some will go out and the console to flop at retail. I just can't see it being particularly viable, I prefer to use my phone, dualshock and hdmi out as it does pretty much the same job.

Yeah I remember thinking I will be surprised if this works there were a lot of consoles announced for the new gen and I expect most of them to fail its not easy getting into the console business even for huge companies.

For the ouya I just dont see who they are aiming for the casual gamer who plays on their phone yeah that will work or the hardcore gamer well maybe they will get the few who play everything put most supposedly core gamers will snub it. Unless it shows some decent software it will be swiftly forgotten and abandoned regardless of its good notions or ideas.

I always kind of felt the Ouya wouldn't do too good. It just won't fair well in sales compared to the other juggernauts, I always felt as if it laid low from the start, and really, this just confirms my thoughts. I suspect trouble is ahead...
Just wondering, what do you guys think made the Ouya flop like this?
I personally think the concept just wasn't well developed enough, and thus wouldn't really sell well.

Seems like the people behind it are a bunch of "idea people" who are got the word out there, but when they got their funding, they didn't have much of a clue on what to do.

I've heard about this Ouya thing, but I have no idea what the heck kind of game system it is or what it has set to do.

Anyone here care to fill me in?

So none of you have any information and it's aparently already a flop... interesting, usually one waits for official releases before that happens, but hey don't let me stop your parade.

Anyway their site is saying that shipments are expected in June, ergo the official release was postponed, but dev kits are out and people are making games like crazy.

An all-digital openly hackable console sort of based on Android that connects to your TV and comes with a controller. The native controller and TV support will give it an edge over phones and tablets for certain types of games that don't work well with touch-screen only controls, and there will be a low barrier of entry for indie developers because of the system's openness (though I'm not sure what sort of steps one needs to take to be featured in their app store or whatever). Games are all supposed to be free to play, at least in free demo format where you purchase the full game after trying it.

It won't have very impressive graphics technology, but it's kind of counting on indie developers' creativity with gameplay innovation to make up for the difference. And it'll be super-cheap to purchase too.

I'm still skeptical about how good it'll actually be, but it seems like it will at least be released as a real thing.
