So recently I've found that I'm starting to get bored with the games I currently have. God of War III isn't out yet, I've MW2'd myself out, and I own Fallout 3, Shellshock 2, LittleBig Planet, Madden 08, Orange Box, Saint's Row 2, Force Unleashed and RE5. I have rented MW2, Bioshock and God of War I/II collection

I've played Heavy Rain, Infamous, Batman and Dante's Inferno.

The reason I make this thread is I'm looking for something that hasn't gotten enough press, or something out of the norm that was really fun. I like FPSs, but anything that doesn't have it is preferred personally.

So this is me looking for a new game, and people out there to spout out their favorite hits that didn't connect with people enough in their opinion

If you have a DS, go for Henry Hatsworth. It's a puzzle platformer RPG that has received great reviews, but nobody bought it.

Dang it, I wanted to put that. Although, good luck getting Eternal Darkness. I can't find a copy anywhere.

I always recommend the classic Turn-based strategies of my youth like the Shining Force series and the Vandal Hearts series. If you are into games like FFT, you should check these titles out.

A game called Cubivore for the gamecube, one of my favorites of all time.
Hehehe... I loves me some Carnivorous Cubes! I actually haven't played the game but I saw it on one of Screwattack's lists.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Seriously, it's so awesome. It's very different- in BC2 you need to use tactics.

Or, just go to Armorgames. Seriously, most of the stuff there is gold.

KOTOR I've heard is good, Call of Cthulhu is supposed to be good up until the gunpla comes in, I'd get Batman Arkham Asylum TBH, unless you've already played through it. Also, many didn't like this and you may not too, but Fable 2 is a suprisingly fun RPG once you get into it. (As long as you choose the bad option). The Orange box is HIGHLY recommended as each game in there is incredibly well praised (especially the multiplayer game: Team Fortress 2, which is hilarious, unique and fun. Get it for the PC, though - so much more wirth it!). Dragon Age Origins will take up about 100+ hours of your life and is extremely entertaining and challenging. If you want to change the difficulty part way throught then you just have to change the difficulty slider - a feature also used in the notable Fallout games.

Hope I gave you a few ideas!

If you have a backwards compatible PS3 look for Psychonauts. Also Alien Homonid. Old school side scrolling shooter where you can bite the heads off of your foes.

a few hidden gems from now and the past, i also included some "must play" mods:

Old ones:
Psychonauts
Beyond Good & Evil
Little Big Adventure 2 (13 years old, but a fully 3D and voiced RPG adventure game)
Evil Genius (Pretty hard, but very funny)

Recent ones:
Dragon Age Origins
Mass Effect 2
(these 2 games really manage to make the fullest use of your free time)
Shattered Horizon (requires Dx10)
Mirrors Edge (quite cheap now, and still a very beautiful and stylized game with a rewarding gameplay)

Mod gems:
Portal:prelude (Portal mod)
Research&Development (HL2 mod, similar gameplay to HL2, but without typical gunfights and with more puzzle gameplay)
Black Mesa Scource (HL2 mod, not out yet, but nearing completion)

Rainbow 6 Vegas is a decent shooter and you may enjoy the STALKER games. Unfortunately i don't know if they are for consoles if that is what you have.

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident.

Fantastic game that didn't really take off. The graphics were beyond it's time as well, it still looks beautiful when compared to the latest games.

It's on Steam. Pretty well any computer should run it just fine. Have you not played it? Boy is it good.

Tomba 1 & 2 ( PS1 ) , and Ring of Read ( PS2 ) are great games that none of my friends really have ever heard of or played.

Persona 3. It's a JRPG, but holy crap is it good.

Fire Emblem. Turn-based strategy RPG. Great plots, characters, and gameplay.

I don't know many FPSes, but Mass Effect (one, especially) is brilliant.
