I recently went to my local thrift store to pick up bits and pieces for my Halloween costume, lo! I discovered a treasure!

Warcraft III and it's expansion. I only ever played it once on my friend's computer, but it was fun. The discs were in good condition and the serial keys were there.

I've found other niftys there before, and was wondering what fun or interesting stuff people find the in the recessed mustiness of antique shops, thrift stores, and yard sales.

So I was going to get something for a stagecrew prop and had to go to a Bartz's in a less then friendly part of town. On the way there, next to an adult film store there was a little action figure shop. I got the thing I needed and decided to swing back to see what was in there
I found this guy right here
yep a 1982 Ackbar for a couple of bucks

Also I found a toploader NES >.>

Indeed I'm sure he could deduce any traps before you even bought them
but yeah I assume Mommy and Daddy need to buy their videos so they drop the kids off in the store until they are done

The Darkness - Permission to Land - 50p.

I now have to go through life knowing I'll never get another bargain like that again...

I found the "Software Slump" album by Grandaddy going FREE on my uncle's shelf.

I was thrilled to relieve it from him. He probobly didn't even notice it missing.

A whole drum set by a dumpster at the apartment complex where I used to work. Was still fully functional, but I couldn't take it home. One guy who lived there got everything that he owned from that dumpster, and all of it was extremely nice stuff.

I saw and then bought a big novelty Guinness Saint Patrick's Day hat when walking past a second hand store years ago.

Or before you start chatting them up miritehifive. Don't leave me hangin'.
Hmm...maybe. But I suppose if I use a 3 inch figure for advice I'd drive them off anyway sooo

Ah yes...occasionally one finds a rare mythic dumpster of supplement, in which, despite all previous knowledge of the area containing said dumpster, amazing things are found. Alternatively, I live in an area with a high amount of eviction, and so it is not uncommon to see dumpsters filled about a week after the first of the month. Sometimes you find good stuff.

I one fell swoop I nabbed Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate 1&2 and expansions, Beyond Good and Evil, Fallout Tactics, and Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business at an op shop (thrift store). Total cost? Ten of our Australian dollars. I also picked up a copy of Hitman: Blood Money new for $5, just two weeks after my old copy crapped out.
