The facial capture was good if only to distract from the uncanny valley like bodies they where on.

I don't feel its nessary for any games other than realistic setting games.

In my opion its not that much of Game changer, however it would help flesh out characters.

Kojima's thought process: GREAT! Now my long winded, verbose, soliloquies that repeat the same 10 or 11 ideas will look facially real!

I'd like to see the next GTA use this tech.

He doesn't seem that interested in gameplay aspects in his games. Why doesn't he just make a film and get it out of his system?
Because he's a terrible writer and only gamers like what he makes.

Well I for one thought the faces in L.A. Noire were HIDEOus ;)

Stupid joke aside, this sounds interesting...

Yes please, nothing else to say really. I loved the faces in LA Noire and in a game where you aren't trying to decipher whether or not characters are lying this could add a huge amount to cinematics. I'm playing DA:O right now and I love the cutscenes and the dialogue but the mouths just don't move enough and faces are pretty blank. The writing is damned good in my opinion and it would be even better if the characters could convey emotion via facial expression as well.

Go Rockstar! (They made it right?)

Kojima calls it a " game changer."

Translation: Kojima will beat this to death in his next game to distract us from lack of gameplay.

In other news, the faces will look really creepy on bodies that move about as unrealistically as possible.

Oddly Enough, All I am thinking about now is Kojima Re-releasing Every Metal Gear Solid ever made with this technology and imagining how creepy it would be to see Laughing Octopus's face under a mask talking. That was kind of creepy enough for me anyway, I don't need realistic facial stuff going on to creep me out even more.

didn't they use this technology (to a lesser degree) in the Force Unleashed games? that was pretty cool, but obviously not as highlighted in the game and gameplay as it was in LA Noire

i don't wanna know what this man will do with that kind of technology, he does make good games but he is also kinda creepy, i would not invite him into my house.
also why does snake repeat the last word everyone says in his presence? is he just brain dead or is there a subtle anti-war message?
you don't know?
if you take the first letter to every thirteenth word snake repeats they spell out a secret message. The message is, of course coded, but one hacker claimed the first few words of the MGS4 secret message described some geographical location, but he was never heard from again after that transmission.
transmission?

wow now i have to add something in order to avoid getting a warning.
Kojima: nobody likes raiden, just bring back grey fox for rising and have him brainwashed at the end so he thinks he is raiden.
Raiden?

OT: I'd like to see this in the Metal Gear series. The cutscenes in MGS4 look great, and this would only improve them. This technology still has a ways to go, but I could see it becoming an intrical part of many games in the future.
