I prefer anyons, but it's cool I guess.
Seriously though, it'd be cool but far too early to say. Even if they are actually picking up an ultra-heavy particle (the man who came up with scientific terms for particle physics is a genius) and not just some equipment fault, they'll need to rule out a few composites. Though that said any particle with that mass would be a significant discovery. Either way, it's exciting stuff, nice to see the press are accepting that we've been up to things apart from the faster than light neutrinos thing. Now if only we can get them to look at somewhere other than CERN...
Also, I'm a bit of a physics hipster. I liked Bose-Einstein condensates before they were cool.
