This bit of news makes me want to become a nudist.

But in all seriousness, I would bet anything that the costumes people wear to conventions are worth more than these rags.

This further cements my theory that "high fashion" is a myth created by a group of adults who still like playing "dress-up".
This actually isn't high fashion if you're actually going by fashion industry standard of "haute coutre" as the most prestigious. Not yet, anyway. But otherwise "high fashion" is a totally meaningless term with no concrete definition.

Remember everyone, if you ever want to drive yourself into an uncontrollable fury, get one of those pictures from above, and then open another window and find a picture of a child draped in rags in any third world nation, dying in it's mothers arms.

Put these two images side by side. Now, look at the image of the child. That's a child dying because it, along with whole swathes of the population, don't have access to the things that human beings flat-out NEED to survive.

Now, look at the image from the fashion show. The person who designed those outfits makes enough money to buy more than most average people will ever come close to owning.

Think about that.
You do realize the same could be said of video games, films, TV shows, etc. which require millions of dollars in development and marketing, right? Most people enjoy at least one of those.

Gah, why are they all so shiny! I'd want the Batman tank-top if only it wasn't so freakin' shiny.

Also, nothing of this looks even remotely okay on anyone other than those horribly underweight and neigh-disfigured models. Gods someone get them out of my face, I need something to make me feel better now... something liiiiiiike this!

Now that's a lady!

Fashion shows always make me sick, and I thank God that I never see that trash on the streets where I live.
This makes me sick and depressed. The designer needs to be dragged into the street and smothered with this garbage.
And then kicked in the cajones by the Joker.
Actually, maybe he is behind all this? Killing people with fashion trash by making their eyes bleed? Diabolical!

Wow. They actually make the original costumes look more sensible aesthetically.

Quite an achievement(?) there... fashion.

Um, wow, that's just... I think I may need to carve out me eyes now in order to prevent them from being damaged in such a way in the future. I mean, if this is what people think if going to be stylish, I'd much rather be blind.

Superheroes are hot right now.
But those designs aren't.

I've seen better done with a Supergirl t shirt from Forbidden planet and a pair of red combat boots.

As mentioned the Marvel stuff was ok, with the sheer logo being the best, the rest was pretty weak and the Bats outfit was awful and frankly lazy.

The bat logo should have been the post crisis black on grey style, no oval, fitted long sleeve, matte colors, I would have put black suede skate shoes with it and for the catwalk prolly a pair of short black vinyl gloves with little metal bat symbols on the back or cut metal rounds on each knuckle just to suggest the idea of "equipment".

I would have had some fun with the belt too...

None of this says "Superhero" to me.

But tbh here is nothing new about this, the culture already exists and already does it far better than this so called 'high fashion'.

I don't mean cosplay either, I just mean people who dress in a style that reflects Superhero, or supervillain, culture.

Once again they are all patting themselves on the back about how "original" and clever they are when all they are doing is ripping off yet another sub culture because they are devoid of any ideas of their own.

I'm pretty irritated by this, I love DC and I hate Scott's cheap tacky style... McQueen or Noble would have pwned this idea, it would have felt "Superhero" and used models who reflected the ideal too.

Bah.
