Disclaimer: This post might sound like flame bait, but I didn't intend to offend any fans of Twilight. This post was intended to appeal to what I believe is the general demographic of users on this website. I wouldn't be suprised if it was locked. Mods, do what you have to do.

This was almost two weeks ago, but I'm sure not many people on the Escapist regulary read Life & Style. I only did because I came across a very intresting front page article from the June 20th edition. It seems Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart broke up. Life & Style says that the break up will ruin their on-screen chemistry, hopefully putting the final nail in the coffin of the most overrated movie series in history.

Unfortunately, this won't affect the book series, although the collective series will be greatly crippled by the loss of most of the teenage girls who watch the films because they couldn't read a book to save their life. While the battle isn't over, we've won a great victory for countless brain cells and the standards of the film industry. What are your thoughts on this hopefully permanent development regarding the Twilight series?
And his leading lady, Kristen Stewart, 18, who plays mortal Bella Swan, has her own way of coping with the attention. "It's no secret that Kristen likes to unwind by smoking pot," says the cast insider.

Teenaged girls can ignore a crappy plot, crappy writing, and sheer stupidity. They also ignored the fact that the movies sucked. I don't really think that a lack of on-screen chemistry will deter them.

what chemistry? XD

most actors get by without needing it, it depends on how good the movie/actors/directer is though :/

Hopefully, though, bad reviews and loss of older/smarter audiences will limit it's reach.

Can't say that I care much about this sort of thing. Celebs just don't interest me in the least.

i didn't give a shit about twilight when it was in paper form or in film form, it is sad when any relationship breaks down (shitty film notwithstanding) so i do feel bad for them.

that's all i can think of to say on the matter.

This is ridiculous. I'm sure both of them are mature enough to continue working together despite the relationship breaking down.

And even if they aren't, the loss of Twilight is not good. Teenage girls need something to be obsessive over, and this will devestate them if the films fall apart.

I'm fairly sure that this won't really affect the movie, they can act without being in a relationship.
I think.

Also, I see riots coming if Twilight is gone.
