Forgive me if I make a few mistakes I'm new to forums and this is my first post.
Okay so I was having a discussion with my friends and we came to the realization our gym teacher is one of the most stereotypical ever. He's rude, doesn't care about students or only cares about athletes. Another thing is he is also the football coach (surprise!).
So I used to play football and so did my brother before me. He wasn't a stand out and neither was I going to. I was too small and slow to play for how competitive our school's program is. I had thoughts of quitting for a while, but didn't want to upset my entire family, except my dad, who could not fathom me not playing.
After working out all winter to get bigger, stronger and faster (not like the guys in that documentary) summer starts and I started feeling weak and starting losing a lot of weight. I missed a lot of practices and I get embarrassed in front of the whole team for not "trying" or "being a team player".
I finally go to the doctor and they tell me I have mono. So after what I had experienced with the coach and how he treated me I just quit. I was never really friends with anyone on the football team as I was kind of a nerdy football player. After I quit I got to hang out with true friends and go to concerts and read all the comic books I wanted.
So after all this back story our football team doesn't even make the playoffs the year I left and the team is on downward spiral. I don't know if the coach is going to be fired, but in all honesty and not to sound harsh, I hope he does.
Sorry to vent but I really needed to get that off my chest but my question is did anyone have a gym teacher like that.
